Ahead-Cockburn-11-2-14-055-_IGP3311

What is it?

aspire2work is an employability skills programme operating in Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield and Kirklees which supports young people aged between 16 and 19 who find it difficult to engage with employment.

Through this programme young people spend time with local employers, improving their understanding of the world of work whilst working towards further skills and qualifications.

This programme is operated by Aspire-igen and supported by Ahead Partnership.

How employers can get involved?

We're looking for employers across West Yorkshire to help deliver activities to improve young people's employability skills. The aim is to help young people gain a better understanding of the range of roles that exist, understand the qualities that potential employers are looking for and better prepare them to enter the workplace.

Involvement for employers is free of charge.

Employers who have joined the programme so far include: Specsavers, Leeds Museums, Fujitsu, Northern Gas Networks, Northern Powergrid and more.
