Leeds Manufacturing Festival - Let's Talk Careers Live Panel Video

LMF CAREERS PANEL 2022 BANNER

We are delighted to deliver another year of activities for Leeds Manufacturing Festival! As part of the 2023 programme we have a recording of a careers panel which took place in March 2023 with local employers from the sector and a variety of roles answering students' burning questions about working in one of the region's most exciting sectors.

Suitable for students in Years 7 - 13, topics include who or what had inspired the panel members to pursue a career in manufacturing, what projects they were most proud of, and how workload and deadlines are managed.

Panellists from OPM, Sulzer, Sika Everbuild and MPM discuss skills, qualifications and career paths and talk in depth about the diverse range of career options available in manufacturing, looking in detail at the different roles on offer and what they involve, including shopfloor positions, as well as managerial, administrative, technical and professional roles.
