Growing Talent BPFS - Immerse & Progress resources
Business, professional and financial services (BPFS) is the West Midlands' biggest and most valuable sector, employing over 350,000 people - and its value is set to double over the next decade.
We're working with the region's employers and Greater Birmingam & Solihull LEP to bring hands-on, inspirational activities to young people all over the region to help them understand the opportunities available to them in this sector.
This year we've worked with top local employers to produce an exclusive set of interactive learning resources that students in Key Stages 4 and 5 can use to get inspired and learn directly about some of the roles and skills needed for key subsectors.
Students can use the resources at school/college or at home to learn about and practice the skills employers are looking for that are vital for a future in BPFS. They'll also receive inspiration by taking part in practical, imaginative content that gives them an in-depth insight into key subsectors from the people that are currently doing those roles.
This suite of self-directed resources focuses on six key subsectors:
- PR and Marketing
- ProTech
- Commercial Law
- HR & People
- Built Environment
- Corporate Finance.
All digital work booklets include student activities such as research tasks, workshops, videos and future signposting to help them really get to grips with these particular sectors in BPFS.
