**RESOURCES AVAILABLE TO PRIMARY SCHOOLS NOW**
West Yorkshire Bus Alliance and Ahead Partnership are working together to invite primary school pupils from across West Yorkshire to learn about the future of public transport, careers in bus and take part in a fun creative challenge for COP26.
Following two successful years of the West Yorkshire Bus Alliance education programme in schools and colleges across West Yorkshire, this year we're launching a set of new learning resources and creative challenge for any primary schools that would like to take part.
The West Yorkshire Bus Alliance is made up of bus operators Arriva, First West Yorkshire and Transdev and the West Yorkshire Combined Authority. They are committed to promoting greener forms of travel in a post-Covid world and have introduced important changes to their vehicles and made it easier than ever for people to travel in the region by bus.
These new interactive resources help pupils in Year 6 get to grips with:
- travelling independently by bus
- bus safety
- the importance of using public transport for our environment
- exciting future careers in transport.
It also includes a creative challenge your pupils can take part in in teams to ignite their passion for public transport and the local community!
The resources can be used in lesson time with links to PSHE, Geography, Science, Art and Maths. There is a combination of ready-to-print activities and on-screen, interactive resources with up-to-date videos.
