We recognise the pandemic is causing significant disruption to our business supporters, ways of working and wellbeing for everyone.  We also know that the uncertainty around how long this will last is undoubtedly causing stress and nervousness around what the future holds for businesses and individuals. Organisations across the country are asking themselves how they can continue to look after their people, customers and business partners through these unprecedented times.

We are proud to announce that we have collaborated with management consultancy Q5 Partners on an exciting new initiative. Together, we’ve launched the Pop up Advisory - a pro bono 1 (to 2) day intervention supporting small to medium-sized businesses and charities, who require some added help at this time.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been trialling this initiative with a number of small businesses and charities. We’ve spent time working collectively to build a robust and resilient process that will deliver positive outcomes for businesses. We know it is working because we’re getting such positive feedback from those that we’re working with!

We commit to providing hard-working, expert volunteers for each project, who are finding they have a bit of extra capacity between projects at the moment and would like to turn themselves to doing something purposeful and engaging using their skills and expertise. We see this as an exciting partnership and one we are keen to share with our network.

How we’ll support you:

  1. Working virtually, two Q5 Consultants will support leaders of charities and SME-sized businesses who are confronting commercial and structural challenges to their businesses
  2. Using an accelerated, focused method, Q5 will help you tackle the specific issue you need to address (e.g. current impact to your business vs. future post-crisis re-emergence strategy and how to build resilience for the future)
  3. Q5 will support you to identify the potential options for recovery
  4. Together, we will create a 180-day action plan to take forward

As part of this work, once the pro-bono work is completed and the activity has been of benefit to your organisation, all we ask in return is a ‘shout out’ on social media channels once the work is complete (e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter) tagging the consultants who worked with you and Ahead Partnership, and permission to reference supporting your specific organisations (without divulging anything about the topic matter).

Pop up Terms & Conditions

1.0         Liability and Insurance

1.1         This is a pro bono initiative, provided through Ahead Partnership, with support from Pop Up Advisory business consultants who receive no fee. Any action the recipient of this charitable service takes based on information and advice provided by Pop Up Advisors is strictly at their own risk and liability arising directly or indirectly in consequence of reliance on such information or advice is expressly excluded. The Ahead Partnership and those Pop Up consultants involved will not be rewarded for any commercial gains achieved as a result of the consulting intervention, nor will they be liable for any losses or damages incurred in consequence of it, howsoever caused.

1.2         These Terms and Conditions together with our These Terms and Conditions together with our Application Form will form the agreement between you and the ‘Pop Up’ team in relation to the Project referred to in the Application Form.

2.0         The Services

2.1 The Pop Up consultants will provide their Services with the reasonable skill and care to be expected of a competent ‘consulting’ professional.  Each consultant involved has the expertise and skills to carry out the Services as agreed in the Application Form. No further conditions, warranties or representations are given by Ahead Partnership, or the Pop Up consultant working on the project, in relation to the Services provided other than expressly stated in these Terms.

3.0         Termination of an Engagement

3.1         You are entitled to cancel this engagement. We kindly ask that you provide us with 48 hours’ notice.

4.0         Intellectual Property (“IP”) and Confidentiality

4.1         All IP rights including copyright which are capable of existing in any documents, computer software or other materials created or provided by the Pop Up consultant(s) shall be and remain with the source provider.

4.2         You undertake to keep all materials, documents and information provided by the Pop Up consultant(s) confidential to yourself and your employees and not to distribute any product of the Services provided under this agreement to any third party.

5.0         Data Protection and Security

5.1         In line with data protection principles, the Pop Up consultant(s) only keep Client Data for as long as it is needed for the assignment.  On completion of the project the Pop Up consultant(s) will delete all emails containing Client Data and retain only final and “as received” versions of files with personal data fields removed.

Application for Pop-up Support

Thank you for your interest in accessing pop-up support from professionals from management consultancy Q5 who are volunteering 1 day of time on a pro bono basis to organisations that need help in addressing challenges resulting from the Covid-19 crisis.

How it works

The pop-up will proceed virtually over the course of one day to help you and any key identified stakeholders to:

  1. Identify and understand your immediate business challenge and work with you to define implementable next steps to support your organisation
  2. Discuss possible solutions together, considering what the impact will be on your business in both the short and the long term
  3. Create an action plan for you to take forward for the next 180 days
