Our board for #TakeoverChallenge Day came up with concepts of how we can market to young people in school
Parklands Primary School take over our Head Office
Last Friday was National Takeover Challenge Day, an initiative from the Children's Commissioner to help give young people a voice in businesses in their region.
We were joined by Moris, Ben and Callum from Parklands Primary School who, after writing exceptional letters of application to join our board, were chosen by their own school council to be our board for the day to help us shape our future development plans.
The boys took over the boardroom, meeting with our Chief Executive Stephanie Burras CBE and making decisions and changes with each of our teams for the benefit of the young people we work with all over the UK.
Topics for discussion and development included how we collect feedback from school and college students, our approach to social media, how we can make our World of Work days more memorable and our marketing.
Stephanie Burras CBE said: "We're thrilled to have these pupils with us today and they've certainly been working hard with the team. They've given us new insight into our marketing, our events and activities and the way we reach young people and keep them involved in the development of our Make the Grade programme."
