Year 5 and 6 pupils from Parklands Primary School in Seacroft will be taking over our Head Office for the day on Friday 18 November, making the decisions that shape our business and programmes for young people all over the UK.

The pupils had to apply for a place on our board and were specially chosen by their own school council to take part in the Children's Commissioner's Takeover Challenge.

Sophie Greenwood, our Head of Service Excellence, said: "We're delighted to have young people become our board for the day. We have a range of challenges for them to take on and we know they'll give us an exciting new view on the decisions we make every day.

"Getting young people's views on how we deliver our programmes is what makes them so successful. As the times and technologies change we're using fantastic opportunities like this to evolve and develop our programmes so that they really have an impact on young people's futures."

The board will meet with our Chief Executive, Stephanie Burras CBE, and give their views on our marketing, our programmes and the events we deliver for young people across the country each year.
