How does volunteering with Ahead Partnership work?

We understand how busy you are, and really appreciate you taking the time to volunteer. By sharing your experience and insights, you can help inspire the next generation build their confidence as they prepare for the world of work.

We want to make your experience fulfilling and smooth as possible. Below, you can read a step-by-step guide for what you can expect volunteering with us. Plus, there will always be an Ahead Partnership facilitator on the day to help run the event.

Your step-by-step volunteering guide

Step 1

Confirm your place

We can match you with a volunteering opportunity that works for you. Once you’ve confirmed your chosen event, your place is reserved.

Step 2

Meet your lead

An Ahead Partnership planning and delivery lead will be in touch with an invitation to a briefing call via Microsoft Teams.

Step 3

Join the briefing call

You’ll attend our short call with your fellow volunteers to cover all event details. This includes safeguarding guidance for working with young people.

Step 4

Attend the event

You’ll arriving before the young people and sign in. We’ll share a quick recap of our safeguarding guidance. Young people arrive and the event begins.
