Our entry focused on the legacy of the Growing Talent Morley programme, which empowers young people to have their say in urban regeneration plans and to understand the careers and opportunities that this regeneration will provide.

Delivered in collaboration with Leeds City Council, the Morley Town Deal Board, and major regional property owners including Landsec and Sterling Capitol, the programme aligns with the £24.3 million Morley Town Deal investment aimed at revitalising the area.

Judges were impressed with the evaluation and reporting on the impact of the programme and said, “This is a superb initiative. It involves the clear identification of a subgroup that needed a voice in the regeneration of a local area but rarely gets it. The entrant put in place the methodology to achieve this and also provided ongoing support to disadvantaged young people. It is a great scheme that should make one proud to work in the industry.”

As we head towards a significant milestone of reaching 10,000 young people in Morley through the programme, this win is a powerful legacy for the successful partnership between the public and private sector and shows the tangible impact that can be achieved through collaboration.
